The Sunday of the Last Judgment reminds us that there will be a time when God's mercy will come to an end. Everything that God created in the world is a gift, and exists to make God known to man, and to make man’s life communion with God. The Parable of the Talents reminds us that we are to receive this gift of Divine love with thanksgiving and offer it back to God in the person of our fellow man. The Lord said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’  (Matthew 25:40) Those who only think for themselves and have no care for their neighbor will hear Christ's frightful words, 'I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity' (Matthew 7:23)
